We were very proud to participate and attend the Advice in Community Settings programme celebration and learning event recently. Attended by Deputy Mayor of London, Debbie Weekes-Bernard, learning partners Mime and Wavehill and sector partners. We were one of the organisations sharing insights on the impact of the programme. A project we led, our partnership offered a wrap around service addressing systemic barriers faced by Black and minoritised communities across London.

Evaluation and Key Findings

The Advice in Community Settings programme helped more Londoners access advice by building and strengthening partnerships between advice services and trusted community settings, such as schools, food banks and refugee centres.

Published in November 2025, Mime and Wavehill’s the final evaluation report, drawing on in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to explore the impact of the programme and how delivery has evolved over time. This builds on the findings shared in our Year 1 Evaluation report and Year 2 Evaluation report to further evidence the deep and positive impact of the Advice and Community Settings programme by:

  • Over three years, the programme directly supported 10,914 clients, positively impacting an additional 9,686 household members.
  • The programme achieved significant outcomes, including over £8 million in financial gains for clients, averaging £3,600 per successful case, and contributed to long-term benefits such as improved financial stability and mental health.
  • The programme strengthened partnership networks to deliver community-based advice and support, fostering new connections and enhancing collaboration to provide holistic services for clients.
