In February 2026 we were delighted to attend the Bud Leaders ‘Double up and Access More’ hosted by Natwest. An annual event created for black and global majority founders, leaders, allies and partners who come together to build a pipeline for opportunity, growth and change.

Visibility shifts narratives.

A real highlight for us at at the event was to see our CEO Muna Yassin MBE be one of the individuals recognised and spotlighted for her contributions to equity and inclusion. Each person that was spotlighted has made remarkable contributions to the entrepreneurial space. Their passion is matched by action. Their tenacity is rooted in lived experience. As well as their expertise influencing ecosystems and opening doors for others.

On being recognised, Muna commented:

“My work is focused on closing the wealth gap. removing structural barriers to equity within our financial systems. To be recognised, alongside such formidable people doing incredible work, was humbling and inspiring. I’m privileged to be able to call upon fellow spotlighters Erel Onojobi from Runnymede Trust, Asher Craig from the Pathway Fund and Ugo Ikokwu from Trust for London for support, guidance and challenge in equal measure. My work isn’t done in isolation and without my amazing team and trustees at Rooted Finance nothing would be possible.”
